Meaning and Meander

The studio is up, but not yet in full functionality. It feels good to have a space again, for a creative practice. Next up: establishing/re-establishing that creative practice. Creativity is a steady, in action, thoughts, and words, so no need for concern. Just this weekend I finished unpacking and shelving my book. I decided to slim down, and purged over 50 volumes... it was in this process that I began to think about how many hours I've spend with my nose in books.... if I added up the hours (even tried to), I'd easily arrive to a number of years. Yes, years. It suddenly dawned on my that I have spent years in books. In this realization- I began to look closely at my collection... academically pressed art and environment books make up nearly the entire collection. I dreamed of being back in the classroom, its not the teaching, but the sharing of knowledge and passion that inspires me in that thought... I absolutely love talking about art, the environment and contexts self and culture within these topics. Soon again, I hope. Also, I am in The Saturn Return. What?! Well, quite simple actually (in concept), is an astrological phenomenon that occurs at the ages of 27-30, 58-60, 86-88, coinciding with the time it takes the planet Saturn to make ONE full orbit around the sun. This means at some point between now and my birthday (December 16), Saturn will return to the degree it occupied at the time of my birth. The whole notion has me reeling about time and the larger astrophysical picture. I enjoy the wiki definition (here). More pondering and experiencing required. Ciao for now.
